Biomass Gasification – Technology

Biomass gasification is the conversion of solid fuels (wood/ wood-waste, agricultural residues etc.) into a combustible gas mixture-Producer Gas. The process is typically used for various biomass materials and it involves partial combustion of such biomass which occurs when the air supply is less than adequate for the combustion of biomass to be completed. The Gasifier is essentially a chemical reactor where various complex physical and chemical processes take place. The Biomass gets dried, heated, pyrolyzed, partially oxidized and reduced in this reactor as it flows through it.

Our plants are ideal for either urban or rural situations, where adequate Biomass feedstock is available. We also invest in plantation development as that provides security of feedstock, which is an essential element for the economic viability and sustainability of the project. In the rural context our projects are very beneficial in uplifting local societies as they provide employment, rural electrification, efficient use of Agriculture waste and most importantly reduction of deforestation as our by-product from the plants is clean burning charcoal.
